Partners is a short story written by Selinica.
Plot
Partners explores the idea of a mech pilot and a mechanic working as a team in a deployed mech. The story explores what happens when the pilot is encased in a liquid submersion cockpit and the mechanic lives inside the spaces in the frame of the mech. The original mechanic is killed and a new one joins the team. The unnamed pilot tries to connect with her and get to know her, believing the shared understanding will let them be a better team.
